Queue Nerves, nerves and more nerves!!!

As a stay at home mum who homeschools and writes a family travel blog, it’s probably not hard to guess that I don’t get much “me” time. In a couple of weeks however, that’s about to change.

We’ve been tossing up whether to buy a tablet, and the even bigger choice, whether to add to our growing collection of iGadgets – iPhones, iPods etc, or to go with something totally different, from another company, which would most likely be running on Android.

So because I am online so often, I happened to bump into a competition running over on the Lenovo Australia NZ Facebook Page. I thought it was to win one of their amazing K1 Tablets, so never one to waste an opportunity, I crafted my answer and sent my entry off through cyberspace.

I’m sure you can guess what happened next.

I got a phone call to say I’d won…….

Not only a shiny new K1 Tablet but……

A ticket to Problogger Training Event in Melbourne too……!

For any blogger, this event is one of the biggest and most exciting held in Australia each year, full of 2 great days of education, and lots of chances to meet up with other bloggers, PR reps and brand reps.

So, today I just booked my flights and I’m deciding whether I’m more nervous or excited! I don’t normally travel very well by myself, it’s a bit unnerving when you’re so used to having kids and a hubby around all the time.

Not only that, but the last time we were in Melbourne we got so confused by the trams we decided to walk 1.7kms back to our motel instead of trying to figure them out!

BUT I’ve met some wonderful bloggers online since we’ve started the site, and I will be looking very forward to meeting them and saying hi.

So, it looks like in a couple of weeks, I’m heading off to Melbourne on a solo trip, and spending 2 days and nights surrounded by 300 people I’ve never met in my life!!!

Nothing like stepping out of your comfort zone is there!

While I’m there, I’ll be blogging about it and testing out the new Lenovo K1 tablet. I can’t wait and I’ll be trying to get some practice in before I go so I don’t look like Matt does when he’s trying to figure out technology (e.g- lost)

I have to say a HUGE thank you to Lenovo and Problogger for the chance to attend what I’m sure will be an amazing event!
